Shield of Faith Journals for Kids
Bullying can destroy a child’s self-esteem, leaving them feeling alone and hopeless. These journals were written specifically for boys and girls ages 5-9 to help them remember who God is and who they are as his children. The daily journal helps to reinforce the truths that God loves them, chose them, and has a special plan just for them. It reminds them to raise their shield of faith and believe what God says about them, not what the bullies say about them.
Because bullying is such a difficult topic, the beginning of this journal is designed to be read with a parent or grandparent. The book then includes 100 pages for children to express how their day was, whether they were bullied, what truth they need to remember, and what they are grateful for. Each daily entry requires little to no writing and should take less than five minutes to complete, making it perfect for children who don't like to write or are just learning to write. This daily practice encourages them to remember each day one special truth that God says about them!
Why Journaling?
Over the years, I've discovered that one of the best ways to get a truth into your heart is to think about it every day. Repetition helps us to remember. And repeating God's truth over and over each day is crucial in helping children overcome the challenge of being bullied. When you are bullied every day, you have to put truth into your heart every day, too. This journal will help your child do just that—remember each day that they aren't who the bullies say, they're who God says.
