The Christmas Angel

How amazing of God, that the angels who announced His Son's arrival are more terrifying and awe-inspiring than the Son of God Himself. Wrapped in cloths, laid in a manger, God in disguise living among us. Jesus, the Christ Child, "emptied Himself, by taking the form of a servant" (Phil. 2:7), stripped of all His glory to rescue us. What a reason for Christmas joy!
